Bows, Ballet Flats, Rosettes—I Just Found the Prettiest Buys of Winter

Every time I open my Instagram lately, I am bombarded with one winter trend more than any of the others. It seems winter 2023 is all about dainty, pretty detailing. Of course, there are still elements of the winter trends we see cycle through every year: velvet fabrics, sparkly pieces for the holidays, and lots of cashmere. But this holiday season, influencers, fashion people, and celebrities alike are all going down a much prettier path. Bow motifs, satin fabrics, ballet flats, and rosettes (to name a few) are dominating my Instagram feed and TikTok For You page.

From adding a bow hair accessory to your look to reaching for a knit in bubblegum pink to swapping your regular flat sneakers for dainty ballet flats, there are so many things you can do to up the pretty factor in your outfit. Certain brands have this pretty factor built into their brand DNA—including Sandy Liang, For Love & Lemons, and Reformation—making them the perfect places to start when looking to give this trend a try. But it's not just them. Other brands that you wouldn't normally think of have gotten on board with all things pretty, such as J.Crew and Zara.

I'd totally wear this set to a holiday party.

This Jennifer Behr velvet bow comes in an olive tone, too, which I love.

I have been dreaming of this Mirae dres. It's perfect for a holiday party.

A must-have in your holiday-party wardrobe.

The Emerald Knit Top from Ref comes in several different colors, but I personally love the black-and-white combination.

This headband is just begging to be worn at a holiday party.

Sandy Liang basically wrote the book on pretty things.

I'm officially obsessed with these Jeffrey Campbell ballet flats.

This one is for the bow lovers in the group.

Brooches are making a comeback. I'm starting with this one.

Rosettes and bows are featured on this red mini from For Love & Lemons.

Ever since I saw these rosette heels, I have been thinking about them. I would pair them with a red minidress for a holiday look.

Just a touch of prettiness to add to any outfit.

The prettiest bow halter top ever.

A classic black dress just turned up a notch.

These come in a few colors but this ballet slipper pink is everything and more.

The perfect addition to an outfit to immediately give it more of a holiday-season vibe.

I'm obsessed with this rosette halter from J.Crew.

This velvet midi skirt has been living in my mind rent-free.

These come in three colors, but this classic ballet pink is working for me.

I'd pair this with black trousers or a miniskirt.

Ballet pumps for those of us who just can't do flats.

Zara is really bringing the heat this season, starting with the Strapless Flannel Bow Top.

This skirt looks way more expensive than it actually is.

A cashmere cable-knit is just an obvious yes, especially in bubblegum pink.

Tony Bianco knows how to make pretty shoes.

Someone, please invite me to a holiday party so I can wear this.

I know this one has a steep price tag, but it's too pretty not to mention—even if we're just looking at it for now.
